VERIZON SUCKS

Well, the service itself is pretty good...
except for when the company owes you money.

So, in August when we got married, Michael switched to my dad's plan. So that we wouldn't end up paying 100 dollars a month for his phone...

And when Michael got his phone, they had him pay a 125 dollar security deposit and told him that if he switched plans to another person's plan he would get his deposit back. So, in August, when we switched the plans he asked about it, and he was told they would mail the check within 4-6 weeks. So, we kind of just forgot about it (to an extent). We then realized in November that we STILL hadn't received it. But, Michael needed a new phone, so we were going to just wait until December when we in NJ and getting Michael a new phone.

So, come December, Michael calls verizon about it, and they said they would reissue the check to him within the next 4 weeks. (So, we expected it to be there within 2 weeks of us getting home from NJ). Of course, the check NEVER CAME. So, Michael is on the phone yet again trying to get his money. It's rather frustrating. We'd like to PICK IT UP somewhere, but the chances of that happening are well, it's not going to be an option. What do we do?

Take our business elsewhere? I guess.

It's just so frustrating. Let's be serious, they never sent the check in the first place, and probably have no intention of doing so. But, if we don't get it in the next month or so, we're going to have to figure out what we're going to do about it.

Anyway, just yet ANOTHER thing we've got to worry about.

Life has become SO UNBELIEVABLY stressful the past few weeks. How are we supposed to bring a child into this life and somehow support it enough so it can live?
I'm scared and I don't know where my life is going to bed in 5 months...

Oh, and btw, our apartment has mice. AWESOME. It's a super old place, so it's kind of expected. But for the past 3 months or so, we've done EVERYTHING to get rid of them. We set up a ton of traps, and the mice are just TOO smart for them. So, we put out rat poison traps, and apparently the mice are immune to rat poison. Awesome. So, needless to say, we need to move before the baby comes unless by some miracle we get our hands on some arsenic or something. (Or next idea is to spread arsenic on peanut butter and put it on the floor. It's just ridiculous. These mice, are INVINCIBLE. We've looked online for ideas and have seriously tried EVERYTHING. At least we've seen them, so we know they're just little white ones (not HUGE RATS...). But, I'm still scared to be home alone. I HATE the idea of living with mice. And I especially HATE the smell of living with them. There's only so much you can do about the smell until they're actually GONE.

Yep, my life is awesome. I wake up, take care of some kids, come home exhausted and some-what grumpy, and go to bed. Poor Michael. He's exhausted too, just emotionally and mentally. At least he likes his classes this semester... it helps him deal with stuff. I think he'll get good grades just because studying has been kind of his "outlet". Meh.

At least we still love each other, right?

  1. Yuck - sorry about the mice! Our first apartment together had cockroaches. LOADS of them. It got where I wouldn't cook b/c when we walked into the kitchen and opened a cupboard, cockroaches (plural - lots) would fall out!!! SOOO gross! Or if you went in the dark and turned the light on, they would scatter from the counter tops. Lovely.

My best line from this post: "I wake up, take care of some kids, come home exhausted and some-what grumpy, and go to bed" sounds like my life! LOL ;)
