Well, the service itself is pretty good...
except for when the company owes you money.
So, in August when we got married, Michael switched to my dad's plan. So that we wouldn't end up paying 100 dollars a month for his phone...
And when Michael got his phone, they had him pay a 125 dollar security deposit and told him that if he switched plans to another person's plan he would get his deposit back. So, in August, when we switched the plans he asked about it, and he was told they would mail the check within 4-6 weeks. So, we kind of just forgot about it (to an extent). We then realized in November that we STILL hadn't received it. But, Michael needed a new phone, so we were going to just wait until December when we in NJ and getting Michael a new phone.
So, come December, Michael calls verizon about it, and they said they would reissue the check to him within the next 4 weeks. (So, we expected it to be there within 2 weeks of us getting home from NJ). Of course, the check NEVER CAME. So, Michael is on the phone yet again trying to get his money. It's rather frustrating. We'd like to PICK IT UP somewhere, but the chances of that happening are well, it's not going to be an option. What do we do?
Take our business elsewhere? I guess.
It's just so frustrating. Let's be serious, they never sent the check in the first place, and probably have no intention of doing so. But, if we don't get it in the next month or so, we're going to have to figure out what we're going to do about it.
Anyway, just yet ANOTHER thing we've got to worry about.
Life has become SO UNBELIEVABLY stressful the past few weeks. How are we supposed to bring a child into this life and somehow support it enough so it can live?
I'm scared and I don't know where my life is going to bed in 5 months...
Oh, and btw, our apartment has mice. AWESOME. It's a super old place, so it's kind of expected. But for the past 3 months or so, we've done EVERYTHING to get rid of them. We set up a ton of traps, and the mice are just TOO smart for them. So, we put out rat poison traps, and apparently the mice are immune to rat poison. Awesome. So, needless to say, we need to move before the baby comes unless by some miracle we get our hands on some arsenic or something. (Or next idea is to spread arsenic on peanut butter and put it on the floor. It's just ridiculous. These mice, are INVINCIBLE. We've looked online for ideas and have seriously tried EVERYTHING. At least we've seen them, so we know they're just little white ones (not HUGE RATS...). But, I'm still scared to be home alone. I HATE the idea of living with mice. And I especially HATE the smell of living with them. There's only so much you can do about the smell until they're actually GONE.
Yep, my life is awesome. I wake up, take care of some kids, come home exhausted and some-what grumpy, and go to bed. Poor Michael. He's exhausted too, just emotionally and mentally. At least he likes his classes this semester... it helps him deal with stuff. I think he'll get good grades just because studying has been kind of his "outlet". Meh.
At least we still love each other, right?

So I think I've been sick...
So I think that on Monday/Tuesday I was actually sick, not just morning sickness...
because... Michael is sick.
And I'm pretty sure I had a little bit of a fever.
hmm... at least I'm feeling better now... I just feel bad for Michael. I'm also REALLY thankful I didn't give the boys the flu or whatever it was...
That WOULD NOT have been fun. Although, they do give me EVERYTHING they get, so I wouldn't feel TOO bad. I just wouldn't want to be around when they were sick. haha.
Anyway, I'm just glad I'm better.
I didn't sleep well at all last night. I've found that since being pregnant, I get VERY claustrophobic... like, if something/someone is too close (like within 2 feet) I start to feel trapped. It's weird. I just feel like I can't breathe AT ALL. And of course, last night Michael slept AS CLOSE TO ME AS HE POSSIBLY COULD. and he snored because he's got a cold.
Anyway, not so fun, but it's alright. At least we went to be early last night.
Today is Michael's Mom's birthday! Woo! So Michael is on the phone with her, and she recommended the book "Parenting with Love and Logic". Anyone read it? Any thoughts/opinions on it?
I should go play with the kiddies or something. :)

Just Really Quickly
Today, Joseph put on Samuel's clothes...
His were sitting right next to Samuel's clothes, and I was napping, and Michael told Joseph it was time to get ready for school. So, usually Joseph will pick up his clothes and change and be fine, but today, he apparently didn't see his clothes, so he picked up Samuel's clothes and put those on.
About 5 minutes before Joseph's school STARTED I got up to make sure Michael was going to drive him and make sure he was ready... and basically just do the whole "mom" thing. So, I told Joseph to get his shoes on, and he stood up and I just started laughing.
I just kind of looked at Michael and was so confused. Really? Apparently Michael hadn't noticed that "Joseph's" pants were.. well, closer to capri's really (not even flood length), and his shirt was... tiny. I'm just surprised he got it on his head! My goodness!
So, Michael (not super amuzed because Joseph was supposed to be AT school in about 4 minutes... and he is about the SLOWEST person ever), asked Joseph if he noticed the clothes he was wearing were too small. To which Joseph responded, "yes". So, Michael (definitely not amuzed now) asked why Joseph didn't say anything. To which Joseph said, "I don't know".
So, I grabbed Joseph's clothes and told him to change as fast as he could because his school STARTED in 2 minutes. Oh boy, I seriously could not help but laugh. It was a good way to wake up from a nap... although, a bit frustrating too. I just can't believe Michael didn't notice... and I can't believe Joseph didn't say anything (or see his clothes sitting RIGHT NEXT TO SAMUEL'S)!
Anyway, the whole thing had me laughing for a good 10-15 minutes after Michael and Joseph left for school. It was just hilarious to see. It was one of those moments I WISH we owned a camera.
On a positive note, Joseph got to school right when the door was opening.
Even though they left literally 30 seconds before school started (Michael drove him). Awesome. Samuel's sleeping, thankfully. He's been a grouch allll day. Oh yay!

Hello Again My Old Friend
Well, today has been... LONG. Morning sickness is back (or, I guess I could just be sick...). I KNEW it was just too good to be true for it to be gone. It's so depressing because I felt SO GOOD for about a week (aside from exhaustion). I just hope it'll get better again. I woke up SUPER early this morning because my stomach was going to explode. Awesome.
It's gotten a LITTLE bit better as the day has gone on, but not much at all. I've been able to eat some noodles, and some toast, but that's all I've really been able to eat. =(
I at least was able to get in a little bit of a nap this morning because Michael decided not to go into work until 11, so that was super wonderful. Although, it was kind of hard to fall asleep with my stomach so angry at me.
Samuel is still asleep, so that's pretty nice too. I've got some quiet time to rest. I just can't wait for this to end! (I REALLY hope I'm not one of those ladies that has morning sickness throughout pregnancy). I just want ONE month without it. Is that really so much to ask?
Sunday's are hard for me. (especially fast sunday!) Because now that we are in the Primary, I can't really snack the second or third hour (and I try not to during sacrament meeting).
Yesterday was ESPECIALLY hard because I didn't want to snack when everyone was fasting! And I can't snack in front of the kiddies! So, it was difficult. I felt so guilty trying to sneak some gold fish when I could, or going out to get a drink from the water fountain. My ward doesn't know I'm pregnant yet (at least, we haven't announced it or anything, and I do a pretty good-ish job of hiding it...and now we're in the Primary, so I'm not surrounded by women looking at me every week.. haha). So, no one has asked me about it or anything.. yet. Although, I'm sure there are a few women who have suspicions. Anyway, so that just makes it even harder for me to snack... cause I feel pathetic I guess. And so, that's one of the reasons I felt SO GUILTY yesterday. I felt like everyone was watching me... heh. Anyway, some Sundays will definitely be easier than others, because the CTR 4s don't really have a consistent turn out. So, when there are only two kids, it'll be a LOT easier than the weeks all six magically show up. There is one child though, that NEEDS to be on someone's lap, or there is NO WAY we will ever be able to teach a lesson. There is a window in our room, but it's got a ledge that is low enough for the kids to climb onto, and big enough for them to sit onto, so naturally, they all want to climb up there and sit. wonderful. The thought has crossed my mind about asking if there was another room we could be in, but I'm not sure it's worth asking about yet. Maybe next week I will put my chair directly in front of the window (as close to it as I can get), and that will help the problem?
Anyway, hopefully today gets better. or our FHE tonight will be me going to bed at 5:30 again...
Sometimes I feel really bad for Michael, because I WANT to spend time with him, and be happy for him, but by the time our days are over, I'm just so exhausted and so grumpy that I just want to lay down and go to bed, or watch a movie or something. I'm pretty sure Michael is ABSOLUTELY DONE watching chick flicks with me... That's basically all we do anymore. TOTALLY my fault though. And I've noticed, almost EVERY SINGLE MOVIE makes me cry. How pathetic. KUNG FU PANDA TWO MAKES ME CRY. When that's the case, you know you've got a serious imbalance of chemicals in your body. UGH
So, I DEFINITELY felt the baby kick the other day! Woo! I've been able to feel it for a WHILE now (just because it's SO CLOSE to the surface), but that was only while laying down really still with my hand on my stomach, but this time, it was MUCH stronger, and I was WALKING around. It was the weirdest sensation! But, Michael was able to feel it a bit too the other day (not while I was laying down as still as I possibly can). So, that's pretty exciting. Haven't been able to feel it tooo much since, but soon! (This week the bones are supposed to be getting harder rather than just cartilage, so I'm pretty sure we'll start to feel more)
Anyway, I still haven't gotten too much bigger (at all). I'm still stuck in that "fat" stage. YUCK. So, of course, to hide it, I wear sweaters (cause then I look almost normal still!)
Michael and I went to Ikea on Saturday. It was my first time ever in an Ikea store. I found it a little annoying that you had to walk through the entire store... I'm not a huge fan of the way it's set up, but it has some set-ups in it. Oh, how I would LOVE to have a kitchen like one of the ones shown there... if only they weren't 10,000 dollars... and we had a place we weren't renting... haha.
Anyway, we saw some cribs there that we MIGHT look into more seriously. They were less expensive, but they also weren't as sturdy. Why are cribs SO expensive? Yuck! Although, Michael and I found a sweet deal on a travel system, so we'll probably buy one of those sometime soon. We'd like to get one at least 2 months before the baby comes, so that we'll be able to see how difficult it will be to get a car seat in and out of the car we have (TINY Hyundai 2-door). So we can decide if we need to look around for a 4-door car or not. If we have to, we'd REALLY like to get a small car still with good gas mileage (preferably a manual transmission one... but who knows?). We LOVE our car, and REALLY don't want to have to replace it, but car seats are BIG! And, trying to get one in and out of a car with a sleeping baby in it? We'll see I guess. And in the long run, we'll do what we have to do, I just hope that doesn't mean we have to wake our child up every time we try to get it in and out of the car...
Anyway, gotta LOVE planning for a baby!
Oh, we'll also be apartment shopping come March. YAY! Hopefully we'll be able to find something about the same price... about the same size, just two bedrooms. (We've got a HUGE dinning room where we are now...like bigger than the master bedroom) We'd like to find something about the same size, just set up differently, so there's a bigger kitchen, no dinning room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a little bit of a living room. Michael would LOVE to just re-design the place we are at now, but he doesn't have the time, and we don't have the money. Our contract allows us to change the apartment however we like as long as we have permission first. and Our landlord will pay for the materials as long as we pay for labor. Honestly, if we did everything Michael would want to do, our landlord would basically be paying us to live there... I'm not sure how they'd feel about it. Heh. If we had a place to stay from April-June Michael and his dad honestly COULD do all of the work... and they'd like doing it, but there's NO WAY that our landlord would be okay with it. Although, honestly, they could get a TON more money for it if they turned it into a two bedroom instead. (right now it's SUPER cheap for a one bedroom because it's old and a bit run-down) So, if it was newly renovated, and a two bedroom... they could get at LEAST 300 more a month from it.
Anyway, enough of that. Time for me to go. I've got to get Joseph from school soon, and before that, I should snack on some crackers so I hopefully don't get too sick walking there and back.
What do you think Michael and I are having? A baby boy or girl?

Tired.
I thought the second trimester was supposed to be soo great because you get your energy back? Yeah, um, NOT. I can't lay down anywhere, or I WILL fall asleep (even if it is super uncomfortable). I have hardly enough energy today to get off of the couch, but it's alright. You do what you have to, right?
I just wish I FELT like I was in the second trimester. At least I'm not throwing up all the time anymore...It's been about a week since I've thrown up at all! Yay! But, I do get quite nauseous if I don't eat something healthy... which is kind of depressing since all I've really wanted is Reeses. YUM. But, at least I'm eating pretty well, right? Cooked apples have been my best friend the last few days... they've just been exactly what my stomach wanted.
I just can't wait to get my energy back so that I can hopefully DO something more than sit on the couch and watch the boys play/play wii with them/get them some food. It would be awesome to have enough energy to go for a walk on the nicer days, or go do something in Provo. Hopefully it'll happen soon, right?
Or... maybe it won't happen at all. In which case, NOT COOL.
Anyway, sometimes, I'm amazed at some of the "Canadian" things Michael says. It just surprises me that I haven't heard them all yet. Haha, the "pencil crayon" thing happened a few weeks ago, and I had NO IDEA what Michael was talking about... When I finally figured it out, I couldn't believe someone would actually call a colored pencil a pencil crayon! But, I like his little weird sayings... and his misspellings (like colour), even if they aren't technically misspellings (even though the computer apparently thinks so.. haha)
Anyway, I'll have to keep track of what he says and post more fun stuff for you (well, mainly Michelle) to read.

Marrying a Canadian...
So, don't get me wrong, I love Michael, and I like that he's got different views on things and different perspectives, but sometimes, being married to a Canadian is TOUGH.
Michael can only work 20 hours a week at the moment (and only on campus...aka: CRAPPY WAGES), because he is on a student visa. If he goes over that amount, he will be deported back to Canada. Awesome. So, I don't know HOW we are going to survive financially with a baby for the first bit until I go back to cosmetology school and start making tips again. I mean, I'm working for Joe and Tina right now so we'll be able to save up some money, but it won't be NEARLY enough for a baby.
Oh, and Michael's passport expires in seven days. Which means, technically, his visa won't work anymore. So, we've got to get him a new passport (thankfully his visa is still valid while it is being processed...so we just have to fill out the paperwork, find a place to take his picture (the passport photo is a different size than in the U.S., and pay for it in the next seven days).
So, Michael and I are TRYING to save enough money to "buy" his green card paperwork, but, it's over 1,300 dollars. Which is super hard to come up with when you are working 20 hrs at 8 dollars an hour... and also trying to save enough money for a baby in the next 5 months or so. YIKES.
Once Michael gets his paperwork done (and someone sponsors him), and he gets approved, he'll be able to work somewhere else and more than just 20 hours a week. But, the paperwork can take MONTHS to be processed. (He had a brother that didn't get his processed for over 3 years).
Also, until the paperwork is done, he can't leave the country, or he won't be able to get back in because of his marital status. So, if we go to Canada before it's done, we won't be coming back until it goes through. Awesome. So, that's why I STILL haven't been able to go see where Michael is from.
There is just a lot of stress in our lives right now, that I really wish we wouldn't have to deal with. We've actually even contemplated Michael transferring to a school in Canada because he'd be able to work how ever many hours he needs to, and then I'd just have to do some paperwork to get permanent residency, and then I'll be able to be covered by Canadian health care, and so will the baby. But, Michael doesn't want to do that, and I don't necessarily either because it would be COLD, and who knows how long we'd be stuck in Canada?
Anyway, my advice? Don't marry a Canadian unless you want to deal with all of the foreignness. haha. It's just SO ridiculous because CANADA IS BASICALLY THE SAME. It's closer to Stirling, AB from UT than to North Brunswick, NJ. BY A LOT. It's only an 11 hour drive to Stirling...
Anyway, Canadians aren't that different, why is EVERYTHING so complicated if you marry one? Meh.
Oh well, time to go.

Terrible Two's at the Age of Three?
Well, I'm mainly just EXHAUSTED. My body is fighting really hard to get rid of this cold/fever thing that I've had a little bit of, but I haven't been able to sleep very well. Last night, I didn't fall asleep until around 12, and I actually ended up sleeping opposite of usual... meaning, my head was by Michael's feet, and my feet were by his head. I slept without a pillow (for whatever reason that was more comfortable?), and slept some-what decently for four hours. Then I woke up feeling VERY sick. My stomach was completely empty, even though I had eaten pretty close to bed time and ate a few crackers as I went to bed. I've finally reached that part in pregnancy where I can actually eat food again. I feel like I am constantly eating, maybe I should start keeping track of how many calories I eat...?
Anyway, so, needless to say, I was extremely tired today, but Michael had to go in to work and school, so I didn't get as much of a break as I did yesterday. And of course, Samuel decided to be a terrible two year old. For the past week or so (I swear it's since he's been three) he's been really difficult. He now thinks he is old enough to do whatever he wants, but he still expects you to do everything for you.
So, at about 9:30 this morning, Joseph wanted Dinosaur Egg Oatmeal, and so naturally, Samuel did too. However, a few minutes before that I had asked Samuel if he was hungry and he had said no, so I was a bit skeptical. So, I asked him if he was going to eat all of it, and he said he would. So the deal was, he could have some, but he had to stay at the table until I said he had eaten enough. SOOOO, of course, 5 minutes after getting the boys the oatmeal I hear Joseph telling Samuel he needs to eat the oatmeal too, not just the Dino eggs... "oh boy.." I thought. I KNEW that would happen. So, I went in and told the Samuel he needed to eat his cereal before he could leave the table, and he said "Okay". Meanwhile, Joseph was done eating his, and asked for more, but those were the last two packets. I WISH I would have just said no to Samuel so Joseph could have had the other one, oh well. So, Joseph asked for a slim jim, which I gave to him. And Samuel asked for one, to which I responded he had to finish his oatmeal first and thats when Samuel decided he wasn't very happy at me. How fun. Then, Joseph asked for a bagel (I had brought some from home for me to eat), and I decided to give him half of one. I was actually some-what surprised when he ate it all, because USUALLY Samuel is the one that eats a TON and Joseph hardly touches food all day. Anyway, a bit of time passes, and I go in to check on Samuel and find him throwing food onto the floor and onto his chair and all over the table. Wonderful. What am I even supposed to do? I feel SO BAD having to scold kids that aren't even mine. It's just difficult. Oh, and of course, as soon as he realized I was there, he looked at me and started to cry because his hands were "gross". Oh boy.
So, I then proceeded to ask him why he made the big mess and he said "I want to go sleep" over and over again.
So here is a picture of Samuel right before he started crying, when he realized he got caught.
And here is one of him when he is about to cry.
These pictures do not come CLOSE to doing it justice... but, you get the point. Also, sorry they are tiny and poor quality... my phone isn't high tech, and we don't have a camera.
Anyway, by this point, I was overly exhausted and Samuel had a poopy diaper and Joseph had to get ready for school. So, I started to help Joseph get ready, changed Samuel's diaper, got him ready to go, and put him back in front of his oatmeal bowl. There was ONE more bite left in the bowl, and if he ate it I was going to let him off the hook (this time). But, he refused for a good 45 minutes... and it was time to go. So I told Samuel he wasn't allowed to get out of the stroller and play when we brought Joseph to school, couldn't play with his trashies until he said sorry, and had to come home and take a nap right away.
So, naturally, once we got to the school, Samuel started to get out of the stroller and I told him to stay there. I felt bad, because he started to whimper, but I couldn't just let him get away with making a HUGE gross mess all over the kitchen. So, when we got home, Samuel was put right to bed. He must have been exhausted because he feel right asleep.
Anyway, then when Joseph got home from school, Samuel woke up and was STILL SO GROUCHY. Michael got home, and helped Joseph and Samuel get some food while I went and laid down for a bit.
So, when I got up, I walk into the kitchen, and BOTH of the boys were drinking sprite... which I'm not even sure is okay for them to do. So I asked Michael why he gave them sprite, to which he responded, "Joseph just took one out of the fridge (totally uncharacteristic of him... because usually I have to get EVERYTHING for them...) and Samuel took the one that was on the counter (which was mine from earlier)". Awesome. So not only was Samuel still super tired (after a three hour nap), he was now drinking SUGAR. Wonderful. Michael just didn't react fast enough because at that point he was busy making the food. Anyway, I took the sprite from Samuel and told him it wasn't okay to take other people's drinks. Then, he sat down and started to eat his sandwich (by this point, Joseph was done with his and already in the other room). I figured I'd let him sit in there and eat alone (which is USUALLY fine), but today apparently just was not a good day to do that. He WOULD NOT eat his sandwich. And a few minutes after leaving, I heard him drinking something (we hadn't gotten a drink for him because he hadn't asked for one). So, I went in to find him drinking JOSEPH's sprite. Wonderful. I asked him who's sprite it was, and he said "Joseph's". At least he didn't lie, right? But, I promptly took it away, and he decided to start crying a ton and refused to eat any more. So finally I gave in and told him if he finished the cheese from his sandwich he could go play.
Anyway, LONG day. Awesome.
I'm exhausted and very much ready to go home and sleep for the night. (although, that is not likely).
