Updates! And Emmalynn is One!
My Protein Level is 273. Pre-e is 300. So, basically it looks like I'm going to be getting it, it's just a waiting game (but there is a chance I won't get it at all!). They told me to take it as easy as possible and stay out of the sun/heat. Also, to drink lots of water and keep an eye out for weight gain and other symptoms. Basically, to keep doing what I'm doing it.
I have noticed that if I can spend most of the day inside/laying down I actually don't really have bad headaches and do much better. But, if I got outside I get exhausted SUPER fast, and the sun gives me a really bad headache.
However, when we got my lab results I went in to get my BP checked... and it was at the highest it has been yet. It was 118/85. Which for me, looks SCARY. haha. However, since then, I've taken my bp and it's only been about 110/75. Which is better, but still high for me. So, it is a little bit of a concern and they said to keep an eye on it and take it as often as possible or come into the office to check it.
I just met with a nurse, so I haven't heard the doctor's opinions or anything. I have an appointment this Monday where I should be finding out more about what is going to happen. Like how often they will want to see me in the office/how often I need to do lab work/etc.
However, since getting lab work done I haven't really had the scary chest pain. So that's good. I may have just over-worked myself way too much that day. I don't know.
Anyway, because of everything with my lab work and what-not, we actually haven't even had Emma open all of her presents yet! (she doesn't have many.. lol). However, she LOVES the puzzles she did get to open.
I can't believe she is one year old! I can't believe I've been a mom for one year! It's so crazy. she is getting way too big too fast! She took two steps by herself on her birthday, but that was it.
However, just yesterday she took four steps while Michael and I weren't even really watching! We both saw it out of the corner of our eyes... but my visiting teacher saw it! (Emma was walking to her.. lol).
At One Emmalynn:
Likes Eating - anything and EVERYTHING she can get her hands on
Loves to walk while holding your hand(s)
LOVES stuffed animals! She is always happiest if playing with a teddy bear or puppy
Likes to be outside, even if it's just sitting in the grass waiting for daddy to get home from work
Gets so excited when Daddy comes home - she recognizes the sound of the door and she also recognizes our car as it pulls up in front of our apartment (if we're outside or looking out the door)
Thinks it is so fun to look in the mirror (always has done this, but recently she just talks and talks and talks to herself!)
Says a few words. She knows who dada is. and is starting to figure out that I'm momma. Though, she'll say momma quite often... especially when she's upset/mad about being in her crib. She says nana (for banana) and boo bear (for blue berry). She also says Hi and Bye and waves when she's in the mood. But once in a while, we'll walk into a room and find her crawling over to a stuffed animal and then says "Hi". it's fun. She also says "pup" for puppy. She says a few other things, but I'll have to ask Michael. I can't remember them.
She is a VERY social baby. She hasn't gone through that afraid of people phase yet... and I'm not sure she's going to.
Church is hard. We have 1 O'clock church.. which is DREADFUL for Emmalynn. We wake her up from a nap to go every week. and then, not only does she usually take a nap around 3, but because she didn't get her full morning nap she is usually ready for a nap closer to 1:45... it's hard. But church is moving to 9 Next week! So hopefully that'll be MUCH better.
In church Emmalynn tries her hardest to sit with ANYONE but mom or dad. haha. She will squirm and whine until she finally gets away and hurries to someone else under the pews... it's hard. I've tried food distractions... toys... new toys. EVERYTHING it seems. She is just so social! If she had her way, she'd sit with a different in the meeting for a few minutes and then move on to the next person.
She also LOVES to find all of the sleeping babies on the floor in their carseats... or she likes stealing other kids binkies... even though she doesn't take one anymore and hasn't since she was like 4 months old! She just likes to take them and throw them.
Emmalynn loves to throw food on the floor now (this is a recent thing). She just likes to watch it fall.
She LOVES dogs. Even though we don't have a dog, she has seen quite a few. We actually 'rented' a puppy for an hour on her birthday for her to play with. She LOVED it... a little too much. The puppy didn't like her much. Emmalynn just thought it was an awesome stuffed animal that moved and licked her. haha. Everytime we've been outside or for a walk and there's been a dog, she has been so excited. Even if it's been a BIG dog. It's kinda scary for me sometimes! However, most of the dogs we've met have been VERY well trained, so it hasn't been too bad. Emma LOVES dogs though. She also likes cats... she's a very good petter at this point. She's actually pretty gentle, so maybe that's a good sign for the new baby coming?
Emmalynn is such a joy. She is a VERY happy baby. It is such a blessing to have her in our lives. Most of the time, when I'm having a rough day, it's not because she's grumpy. and she usually finds a way to make my day better. She is such a sweet girl and wants to help so much. She just hasn't quite figured out how to yet.
She is so caring, and loves other kids. She loves to play with people, no matter what their age. it's just a little scary sometimes when she wants to play with a tiny baby! It's fun to watch her try to keep up with older kids though!
Emma typically still sleeps quite a bit. She'll usually sleep from about 8:30-7 straight, nurse and then go right back to sleep until 9. Its VERY nice for me! She'll also then go down for a nap about an hour and half after she wakes up for the day that will usually last 2 hours. Then she'll be ready for a nap about 2-3 hours after that nap. and then ready for bed just a few hours later! It's really quite nice, except for when I have to do something in the kitchen. It's hard to keep our kitchen clean because Emmalynn's room connects with the kitchen... and doesn't have a door. It's got quite a big opening to the kitchen (probably about the width of 2.5 regular doors). and we just hang a nice curtain. But, it means I can't do anything in the kitchen (or anywhere in our apartment really aside from our living room) while she's sleeping. Which causes a problem when I need to make dinner/clean the kitchen or do laundry. She's turned into quite a light sleeper too... which makes it harder. Sometimes just walking through the kitchen/laundry room to the bath room wakes her up! Or flushing the toilet. We've been thinking about switching her into the bigger bedroom (our current room) just because it has a door and hopefully we'd be able to get away with doing things while she's sleeping.
Our apartment layout is pretty terrible to be honest... but it's the cheapest place we've lived. and it's in the best condition. It's just been... tricky trying to make it work. It's SMALL. I'm not sure I know where this little boy is going to go! There isn't room in our room (the bigger room) for a crib with our bed and dresser... and there isn't room in emmalynn's room for a toddler bed AND a crib/two cribs with a dresser. So, it'll be interesting trying to figure out where everyone is going to be. I'm not sure our bed and dresser will fit in emma's room... but I'm pretty sure two little beds will fit in our room... so we might just have to switch the kids into this bedroom. And just to be clear, we DO NOT have a huge bed. it's just a queen. So, that's how small our bedrooms are. We can barely get to our closet because our bed is almost too big for the 'big' room.
Anyway. Emmalynn is a joy. I'll post pictures/videos next time of her opening presents and what-not!

Pregnancy happenings.
Well, in my last post I had mentioned we were a little concerned about pre-e, but I was hoping I was just being paranoid especially since it is way too early to get pre-e! I'm only 23 weeks along! This baby has got to make it longer than that!
So anyway, we were keeping an eye out for symptoms and whatnot, but I thought I was being a little too paranoid and that the headaches were from heat/dehydration/etc. So we monitored my blood pressure pretty consistently every one-two days. We'd walk to the store in the evening just to get some exercise and take my bp. Last time with pre-e my bp never got super high, but it was always higher after walking/moving about. So, we were keeping an eye on it. But the highest it ever was at the store was about 110/75. Which, is a bit high for me, but after walking in the heat and being pregnant, that's not bad at all!
So that calmed my nerves. It was nice to see every once in a while that I really was okay, and my headaches were most likely from heat and exhaustion. And the sudden weight gain was only that one week. Maybe so that we'd pay more attention to symptoms of pre-e? Idk, but it was weird. So I wasn't super worried about that either.... until a few days ago.
I still was having headaches, but usually they'd back off a bit with Tylenol, but not go away completely. But this past week they have gotten worse and haven't gone away at all. But, Emmalynn had been grumpy and not sleeping well, so I thought I was just exhausted, until I started getting a severe chest pain on the right side to the point where I couldn't breathe it hurt too bad. And I stated swelling a bit more than usual, and I got blurry vision. But the scary one was the chest pain. I didn't have it much with Emma, but it did show up more towards the end with her pregnancy. So, the chest pain bothered me. I went to bed one night feeling really quite anxious, like maybe we should have gone to the hospital since it was after hours for the doctors. But, I got a blessing and decided it'd be okay and I'd call the doctor the next day to get an earlier appointment.
Well, yesterday was the day we called to schedule an earlier appointment. But, the receptionist had us talk to a nurse first. So after talking with the nurse we were told not to wait for an appointment, but to go to the hospital and talk to the doctor on call there and get tests done. So, since Emma just went to sleep, we decided to wait until she woke up from her nap. When she woke up, we dropped her off at a babysitters and went. Once there, I felt a lot less anxious because I knew they were going to check on the baby and run tests. Just that made me feel better.
The baby looks great still. He was VERY active while we were there, which was fun. :-)
My blood work came back looking fine, which doesn't mean a ton for pre-e. It just means I don't have eclampsia or HELLP. Which is a definite positive! However, there was protein in my urine. So, I get to do a 24 urine test! Yay! It was a little scary though, because they said the same exact sentence as last time. "We're going to do a 24 hour urine test just as a baseline so we can keep track of where you're at". Meaning they'll do more of them in the future. Which doesn't sound scary...
However, with Emma, when they said that, I found out a few days later that we were both in danger and I'd be induced. So now I'm paranoid again. But I know we're being taken care of. And I know things will work out the way the are supposed to. And who knows? Maybe there won't be a ton of protein present! And it won't be scary. Maybe.
I haven't had as much of a headache today though! So that's good, right?
I'm just scared that little Johnny is going to have to come before he's ready. Until we get positive lab results, my hopes are its at least not as severe as it could be and that we can at least make it to 32 weeks.
Anyway, here's to hoping and praying that this baby arrives safely and at the right time. :-)

It's a boy!
Well, a little while ago, we found out we are having a boy!
We are both excited, but I'm pretty sure no one is more excited than Michael. What dad doesn't want a little boy though?
The day we found out we went out and bought a few outfits because I had coupons and Burlington and babies r us were having sales on their winter clothes. Which is awesome for us since that's what we'll be needing for the first little bit anyway! I have already forgotten how tiny they are! I'm so excited to have a tiny baby around again! Although, a bit anxious about it too because we'll have a tiny toddler too! ... unless Emmalynn is a late walker!
Anyway. So far, things look great with the baby! He's growing perfectly. He's the right size for when I'm supposed to be due, he's already getting to the head down position, (but who knows if he'll decide to stay that way!) and his little body is moving fluids in and out and circulating blood properly. Yay for healthy babies!
I'm still feeling pretty good, but I am getting a little nervous about pre-e again. They are watching things closely, but I'm not entirely sure that matters unless they do lab work. Because the way they screen for pre-e is mostly high blood pressure and swelling...
Neither of which I had much if last time... At least not to the point of symptoms of pre-e. My blood pressure never actually got to be over 140/80 last time and although I did swell a ton(!) last time it didn't look like it to other people because it was my whole body, not just my feet/face. So I still looked basically just like any other pregnant lady because I started out tiny. I never swelled enough that I could push on my leg/foot/etc and see an imprint left behind.
So anyway, I've been getting bad headaches again that won't go away with Tylenol. Its only been the past two weeks or so... And it could just be the heat, but I've been drinking TONS of water again. And that's basically how I knew something was wrong last time. But, at my ultrasound they checked my bp and it was only 110/72 so they said there was nothing you wory about, but if the headaches didn't go away they would probably do lab work at my next appointment. That'll be the first of July. I'm still worried. I've been trying to take it easy and make sure to relax and lay down when Emma is asleep. I wouldn't be so worried I guess if it weren't for the sudden weight gain I've had combined with the headaches. I've been eating really well for the most part this pregnancy, but in two weeks I've gained 15 lbs. That's a lot!! I mean, I lost weight for some unknown reason in the beginning, so now I'm still in the normal range for what I should have gained up to this point, but still. It's scaring me.
Anyway, that's all that's new here! Emmalynn is almost a year old! I'm trying to decide what to do for her birthday... But we'll see. :-)

What I've Been Up To and TONS of Pictures
Since then, I've been busy. AND there is soo much more that I want to try! Thank goodness for coupons and sales and Joann's!
Project 1. A Wet Bag for cloth diapering. For those of you who don't know what it is... it's simple. Cloth diapers, you don't throw them away. So what do you do when you're out? Throw gross diapers into your diaper bag? YUCK! You put them into a water proof zippered bag to keep the wetness and smell from seeping into everything else. But here's the catch, they're kinda pricey (well, not SUPER expensive, but for what they are it is. So, I made one. Bought some PUL material (it's what they are made of) when it was on sale (of course!) and made one myself. Here's a picture.
Project 2. Emmalynn's Easter Dress. Pictures were posted on facebook, but it was partly crocheted, and made from tulle and ribbon mostly.
Project 3. Tulle Headbands. I made a tulle headband a while ago. It was a super easy, no sew or glue project. I'll have to take a picture and post it later. It took about 15 minutes
Project 4. My green clutch that holds crochet hooks/littler crafting supplies. It used about 1/4 yrd fabric and a zipper and 2 snaps. (I got an industrial snap tool too!). Here's a picture of it (or a few)! (and Yes, I know the fabric that pulls it into a bow isn't completely centered... I didn't measure. It was just another 30 minute quick project. gotta keep most of my projects small because I never know how long Emmalynn will be sleeping!)
Project 5. I made Michael a new wallet. He needed a wallet, so I figured I'd try it out. I don't actually have pictures of it currently. But it has a total of 8 pockets and a big one for bills. It was actually pretty quick, but pretty frustrating too. The material was a silky one, which also means it frays a LOT. and FAST. It was very annoying to work with, but I got it done. And Michael uses it! So, at least it functions... and he seems to like it. Pictures to come. :)
Project 6 is in progress still. I'm making a welcome mat. It's hopefully going to function as one too! Haha We'll see. It's been much more time consuming and wearing than I thought. I've had to take lots of breaks because it's just so tiring! But, I'll be sure to post pictures of it when it's done!
Project 7 is in progress still too, but I hope to finish it tonight and tomorrow. I'm trying to make homemade canvas photos to put on the wall. I saw a tutorial a few months ago, and wanted to try it, but even plain canvas is expensive! But, it was on sale the other day AND I got to use a coupon on top of the sale, so I was able to score some pretty cheap. And Michael said I should get it. So, I did. and Now, I'm working on it. I'm anxious to see how it turns out. :)
Project 8. I made Emmalynn and I matching dresses for church! Yay. Haha. I just posted pictures on facebook, but I'll add some on here as well. They were actually pretty simple since the material I got already had the stretchy part done for me... I kinda went the easy way out. But, again, the material was on sale and I got to use a coupon on top of the sale (that really doesn't happen often btw). So, it was exciting and an easy project. All I did for my dress was cut the material to the right size, hem the bottom, and sew it together! Done! Yay! However, since Emma is shorter than me, In order for her to have all of the colors in her dress, I had to be a little bit more creative. So, I cut the material to the right width (or so I thought...=/), and then trimmed off the excess length. But then her dress was only green and light blue! So, I decided to add the darker blue and purple ruffle to the bottom of the dress. that was a LOT more effort than I thought it was going to be. And proved to be quite... frustrating and time consuming. However, I learned a lot from it, and next time it'll go SO MUCH better and FASTER! So then, I hemmed it up, and sewed up the side and we tried it on. It didn't fit! It was too skinny for her. Oops! I must of screwed up the measurements. So, I had two options, start over (I have enough left over to make her another one), or make another strip to insert all the way down the dress. I ended up making another 3 inch strip to go into the back. So, I had to make MORE ruffles and make sure they lined up with the other ones... and it was just not fun. BUT, it's done! And it's ADORABLE! So, it was worth it. And, the best part is, you can't even see where I had to add material! Not really anyway, it just looks like that's how it was supposed to be. So yeah. That was annoying. Here are some pictures!
And that's all for now. I've got so many more ideas and things I want to try though. So I'm sure there will be more coming! :)
And here are some other random pictures from the last little bit. As well as a bonus one of me at 19 wks 3 days. :)

First trimester round two
Well, when I was pregnant with Emmalynn I got VERY sick and lost about 15 pounds the first trimester. This time, I wasn't sick hardly at all! It was excellent and such a blessing. I was able to take care of my little girl and myself.
My biggest fears when we felt like we were supposed to have another child were 1. How would I take care of a baby while so sick and tired! And 2. What about school?
Well, it became apparent pretty quickly that neither mattered much.
Then 3. what will people think? This is crazy! Even I know that. I've got a 6 month old at home! (It was a bit before Christmas that we got that scary thought/feeling...) And although my third fear is still very much alive, I've decided it doesn't much matter. I know what I know. And although I'm terrified of what life will be like in just over 4.5 months, I'm also very excited and know it will be great no matter how hard it'll be.
Michael and I want a large family and feel very blessed to be entrusted with another one of God's precious children. How did we get so lucky? I guess we must be doing something right, even though life is crazy and will continue to be crazy and we're both still students!
Anyway, so first trimester flew by. I didn't even remember I was pregnant most days. I was busy with Emmalynn and feeling great and not showing at all! I'm still hardly showing. Which has been nice. So anyway, we found out I was pregnant, the apartment flooded, and we moved. Unpacking... Has been and still is a chore. I've been slacking a bit in that aspect... Woops.
The only time I really remembered I was pregnant was when we all had the flu... Twice. And I got it MUCH worse than the other two. I'm pretty much positive it's because it was aggrevated by the crazy pregnancy hormones in the first trimester.
Anyway. Life's great. We're excited.

Long and Wordy Update
Things that have happened since... oh, IDK December.
Emmalynn got big... and long. and CRAZY! but crazy fun! She's a doll. She's seriously the BEST baby. She's so sweet and gentle... most of the time. She's a very happy girl.
She sat up by herself the first time on Christmas (exactly 6 months).
She has been crawling since about 3 weeks after that and is pretty content with crawling. Which is think is interesting, because before she could crawl, she was VERY interested in standing and walking, but now she won't even let you hold her in a standing position without complaining.
She knows how to open things... like a container of Puffs. Which definitely makes things interesting. The other day, I found her under the sink... good thing we have our chemicals up high! She's been sick quite a bit this winter, which hasn't been fun for anyone.
She loves eating. Anything we eat, she NEEDS to eat. Or she screams. She also is very good at telling us when she wants to sleep. She's a really good sleeper. On a "bad" night she only sleeps 9 hrs straight. Most nights though, it's closer to 11, sometimes even 12! However, I almost always nurse her in her room when she first wakes up because she is still tired and will go back to sleep for another 1-2 hours. Yes! Then she'll usually take two more 2 hour naps during the day. This girl loves her sleep! But when she's up, she's up! That's for sure. She's everywhere, which is super fun, but tiring. She climbs a bit, and will walk while holding on to furniture/legs.
She has 2 teeth. She got her first one about 2 months ago, and just barely cut the second one a few days ago. She's super long and skinny. She's in the 97th percentile for height (as of her 9 mo. appointment, but just grew another 1-2 inches). And she's in the 9th percentile for weight, but the doctors aren't worried because her head circumference is growing and nothing seems to be developmentally wrong. If anything, she's a bit ahead of her peers.
Emmalynn Clapped for the first time yesterday! It was so fun! She just did it out of no where. We had been working with her on it for about 2 months, but she hasn't seemed to care at all. Then we look over and she's sitting just clapping! So fun!
She's known how to high five since about 7 months though. She likes that one a lot.
She is also the noisy kid in church. She just squeals and talks the whole time! especially when someone is saying a prayer/its quiet. Awesome.
She's super wiggly too! Which doesn't help with the noisiness.
So, yeah. That's our sweet little girl.
Christmas: We spent Christmas with Alison and Ryan. I took some pictures, but haven't had much access since moving (yes, we moved... again), since the charger is in a box hiding from me. This makes me sad, because that means I don't have many pictures of Emmalynn from months 6-10. However, I did manage to take a video for Easter. Christmas was nice, Emmalynn likes her presents which we got mostly from DI or KSL. Woo!
the ones of her laying on the yellow blanket are her 6 Month pictures that I took. :)
January: Nothing super interesting that I remember, but Michael's birthday was good. He just got his present in the mail today (we didn't order it until last week). It's a new computer. which he has been super excited for. Oh, Michael also got a new job in January. Yay! No more campus jobs for Michael! He got his work authorization. (However, no green card yet). He now works for a company called BlueHost. It's a web hosting company. he really seems to like his job. It's probably the happiest I've seen him come home from work since we've been married. And it also pays more :)
And he gets paid time off... which is nice. Also, there is lots of room to move up within the company. We hope he's working a salary job in about a year and a half. Woot! Then he'll graduate soon after that and we'll finally be done with this! Yay! Oh, and our car got hit. awesome. But, that's okay. We got a new one that is more family friendly. It's got four doors! and fits a bigger carseat!
February: I guess this is actually when we got the new car. But yeah. It's a Pontiac Vibe. 2007. So, it's pretty nice. No vans yet! I refuse to drive a van when I'm 20. Although, we did talk about getting a van a little bit. But if we did that, we'd want a new one so it would last longer. Anyway, our old apartment flooded. Fun! Emmalynn's crib was in about 3-4 inches of water in the morning. Awesome. (I already posted about that so no pictures this time). So yeah, we moved. Nothing irreplaceable/expensive was damaged, but we did get to sleep in the living room on the couch for 2 weeks! and EVERYTHING from the master bedroom was put into the other bedroom, which already had a ton in it. So, it was a disaster. and packing was a mess, which is why we still aren't entirely unpacked. I keep finding boxes with random things in it... fun. Oh, and on February 10th we got some super exciting news!
March: Michael's green card finally came! Only took forever! Yay! Now we can leave the country! And now Michael is officially legal... not this in between half legal crap. Super exciting news! Oh, and we passed the interview obviously. So they believe we're married! I think having a kid was helpful...
I'm grateful we had Emmalynn.. because if not, we wouldn't have been "married enough". We have a shared bank account, but all of the utilities are basically only in one name or the other... So we didn't have enough proof aside from our kid. Yay for happy accidents!
April: Michael finished up the semester at BYU. and we went to Canada for the first time! Yay! My first time to Michael's hometown was also Emmalynn's first time. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL up there! Just a bit chilly. We're considering living there... depending on how terrible the winters actually are. We'll probably travel up there again sometime this summer. I might go stay up there for a while with his family, since I don't have much to do down here. My friends are all leaving (even the married ones! They've got internships/graduated). So, we'll see how bored I get. Oh, and my cosmetology school closed abruptly. So, I'm just doing online at BYU (which I'm totally okay with for now). So, long story short, the owner of the school told everyone our school was accredited. and it was, for the first 50 hours of my school there. But then, the rest of the time I was there it had lost accreditation (and of course we weren't notified and she kept telling new students that it was), so the rest of my hours wouldn't transfer to other schools. So, it's not worth going back and trying to get all of the hours. I'd still be about 1950 hrs away from graduating. It's just not worth it with a sweet little one at home that I can play with!
....And it's definitely not worth it with another sweet little one on the way! That's right! On February 10th we found out we were expecting our second child! We are super excited and can't wait to welcome the sweet little one into our family around October 17th, 2013!

Emma pooped on the carpet
Well, as you may know, Emma pooped on the carpet today. Then' I gave her a bath, which she was not happy about, then Michael got home and cleaned up the poo(what an awesome husband!) And I got dressed/ready for the day and watched Emma. I put her in the sink since she likes playing in it while I do my makeup and hair.... And she turns on the water and soaks her clean diaper! Wonderful. Great start to the day!

So tired.
Emmalynn wouldn't go to sleep last night! And then when we finally got her to go to bed, she wouldn't stay asleep for longer than an hour! Yikes I'm tired.
And today is going to be a long day. Emma decided to be up for the day at 6 after going to bed and not sleeping well at about 11:30. And I have to pack a ton. And Emma won't take a nap yet, hopefully she won't be stubborn all day like she was yesterday.
Right now she's laying on the floor though, so maybe she'll put herself to sleep. Haha
I'm hungry' but we haven't been food skipping in weeks... Because of the flood and whatnot. So I've basically been eating ramen all day for a few days.... Yuck. Lol
I really should just walk to the store and buy milk so I can have cereal, but it's so cold and snowy! I really don't want to!
Oh well, anyway, hopefully today won't be miserable.

Lunch/dinner
So, since Michael is working two jobs (one is full time) and going to school, we only really get to see each other for one- two hours a day at lunch time (which will change once I go back to school, we'll never see each other), we have our big meal at lunch. So today, I made avocado egg rolls with a spicy, creamy cilantro sauce and peanut butter nutella egg rolls for dessert. Here are some pictures! Sauce isn't pictured because we left it in the blender because almost all of our kitchen is packed.
Sorry the pictures aren't great, Emma was 'helping' take them.

Sleeping in feels so nice
Well, the last few days have been pretty dreadful, but today at seven thirty I brought emma to " bed" with me. Then she slept until... Well now. We are still in bed just playing. Oh how I love Fridays and my sweet baby girl. :-)

When it rains, it pours
Well, today was another long day.
We originally were supposed to only have to keep the huge industrial fans that are blowing through our apartment on for a few days (as in two), but today found out it's not drying fast enough, so it'll be until Monday. Which, considering, isn't too bad. But, it kind of is when you don't really have another room to live in, aside from your living room because all of your furniture is in your second bedroom.
On Monday, they will come back to do more moisture testing. They will then decide whether or not they will need to tear down walls. Yay.
If they have to, I don't know what we'll do. Where we'll live. Etc.
I'm anxious about the bathroom because they aren't doing any moisture testing in there or anything. I'm almost positive that there will be mold in there behind the walls just waiting to seep into our lives. I might mention it to the landlords because I seriously don't know if I'll be able to sleep at night. Especially since I don't really trust the guys abilities that does the maintenance. The part that broke is one he replaced eight months ago when we moved in... He replaced two of them, so honestly I'm kinda waiting for this to happen again in another few weeks... When the other one breaks.
Anyway, so I spent all day today waiting for the guy to show up because he didn't tell us when he was coming. So I couldn't go to school or anywhere because with my luck of miss him. That's the other thing about him, I'm ALWAYS waiting for him. Most of the time he's ever come and given a time he'll be here he's been at least an hour and a half late. I have a life you know... A really busy one. That requires time outside of the house. So for two days I waited, which I get quite frustrated about, especially since I hate waiting. Especially when a professional says something, then they should do it! Or at least call and give me a heads up that you'll be there two and a half hours later then you told me! (That was yesterday)
If it wasn't such an emergency I would have been really tempted to leave.
Anyway, enough of that rant. I'm just really stressed. He is a nice guy, he just needs to work on his professionalism. Especially since last time, right months ago, he borrowed a nice, relatively new(like within 4 months), bath towel without asking and stained it and tore it.
Okay, really I'm done with that rant now.
Moving in. Our car got hit today. With Michael in it.
He's fine. Our car is not.
He got hit at the post office dropping off our rent check. We had planned to do it yesterday, but it hadn't gotten done because yesterday was a hectic fiasco of its own. One thing just piles on another apparently.
Michael just got a new job yesterday and now has no way to get to it on time. Bus routes don't work, we checked. Walking doesn't work, MAYBE he could run it on time, but it's not likely.
We are still waiting to hear from the lady's (that hit Michael) car insurance about whether or not we can get a rental until our car is fixed. But neither of us is old enough to actually rent a car...
Life has been crazy this week and seems to be getting worse. But, we still feel blessed that Michael got the job he wanted and we needed! It has benefits like life insurance and health insurance. BYUs health insurance is crazy expensive once you get married, and even more so once you have a dependent. So we are excited.
When it rains it surely does pour.

Wow. Weird day!
Well.... This morning started out very interestingly. Emma was still asleep when Michael got up to get ready to go to work, so I decided I'd sleep an extra hour before facing the day. Boy, was I wrong!
About fifteen minutes after Michael got up he came in and woke me.
" Amy, there's water leaking everywhere in the bathroom."
Not exactly how you want to start your day. So Michael cleans it up as much as possible, and comes back and tells me it is still leaking, even though the shower is off.
Great. I go in to take a look, and step on the baseboard in the doorway to discover it is mushy and look down to see gross water oozing out of it! Yuck!
Big leak.
So, we put towels down in hopes it will at least slow it down. Then, I go back to bed while Michael calls the landlord. But I had to go to the bathroom, so I got up, and walked towards the bedroom door, and step onto sopping carpet. What the?
Yeah. Bigger leak.
That's when I look across the room towards where it shares a wall with the bathroom. Oh my gosh. So much for letting ems sleep in... We grabbed her from the crib and started moving things from our room as fast as we could. Our bed hasn't been on the game because it was hard for me to get on when I was pregnant and we just haven't put it on since. So, we moved it as quickly as we could do as not to ruin the box spring.
It was a crazy frantic morning and our apartment is an absolute disaster now. Oh, and Emma is a grump. She hasnt napped well today. Yay.
Well, anyway, things are being taken care of. Oh yeah, the water also leaked into the laundry room where our storage is. Fun fun.
Today I'm thankful for tender mercies. It could have been so so so much worse. We only lost a few cardboard boxes... But they were just clothes that will now have to be rewashed.
Then Michael left for work three hours late... Then came back home. Then left again for a job interview. Which, he got! Yay!
Terrible start to the day, but good ending so far.

Hint. Today I am thankful I've been a good wife and mother and kept the apartment clean. And I'm thankful for plumbers
